Chocolate Factory connects AI agents to Visor. An agent reads a site's content through an MCP server on the Visor API, and a widget puts it on the page as a chat assistant or another smart widget.
How it connects
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that many AI tools use to reach outside data. Visor exposes each site's content through an MCP server on its API, and agents are registered against the frontend they serve.
Every site record holds a site reader token. The token is read-only, so an agent can look up pages and collection entries and can't create, edit, or publish anything.
On the page
Developers add the agent to the frontend as a widget. The template's chocolate-factory-sdk skill writes it to Visor's conventions, and the widget loads in the visitor's browser, so it works on statically built sites.
Editors place the widget on pages from Page Builder and set its title, welcome message, colour, and position in the widget's settings. An admin setting switches the agent on or off for each site.
What you can build with it
- A help assistant that answers from the site's own pages
- A course or product finder that works from structured collections
- A summary widget beside long policy or guidance pages
Getting started
Ask your AI coding assistant to run the chocolate-factory-sdk skill in a Visor project, or book a demo and we'll show you an agent working on a site.
