Publishing follows the process you define.
Draw your approval process once, assign it to any collection, and editors follow it to publish.
- Draft
- Review
- Approved
- Published
Then, automatically
- Publishing delta
- Static build
- Build history
A clear path from draft to published.
Draw your approval steps
A workflow definition describes the states content moves through and the actions between them, such as Submit, Approve, and Reject. Drag states and actions onto the canvas and Visor writes the JSON definition. A sample workflow ships to start from.
- States and actions by drag and drop
- The JSON definition written for you
- From one sign-off to a multi-stage pipeline
- Named and described for your teams

Use the same steps for many content types
An assignment links a definition to a collection and activates its states for every entry. One definition can govern several collections, and a filter rule can send a subset of entries, such as one category, down a different path.
- One definition, many collections
- Filter rules for subsets
- Assigned per site
- Remove the assignment to remove the process

Editors follow the path you drew
Every page and entry shows its current state, and editors move it with the transitions the definition allows. Approval becomes a state on the record that everyone working on it can see.
- A status control on every page and entry
- Only the transitions you defined
- Versioned drafts under review
- Change the process without code

Approved content goes live automatically
When content is published, Visor queues the change and triggers a static build automatically. Every queued change, build trigger, and frontend build is logged, and admins can also start a build from the Studio header.
- Every queued change recorded
- Every build trigger recorded
- Frontend build history
- A manual build when you need one

Questions
Something else? Ask us directly.
Yes. Create a definition for each process and assign each one to its collection. A filter rule can also give part of a collection its own workflow.
